Syria to begin commercial flights to Russia twice a week

Publié le 05/06/2018
Syria has inked a deal with Russia that will allow at least two commercial flights from Damascus to Moscow each week, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported this morning.

According to the details from the deal, the Syrian Arab Airlines and Cham Wings are permitted to fly from Damascus to Moscow twice each week.

Each week, Syrian Air runs one flight to Moscow on Sunday, while Cham Wings flies one flight each Wednesday.

Ticket holders for both companies will be able to choose the departure time of their flights to and from Moscow.

The agreement is expected to improve Syria's tourism industry, which took a major hit during this seven year long war.
